Ibanez is back with their ever so popular RG series. They have just launched one more baby into their collection and man, does this one rock! The Ibanez RG2550E Prestige Electric guitar simply screams class. It will ignite the passion in hardcore guitarists.

Very few guitars have the super flat and thin neck which is now a trademark of Ibanez guitars. Combining these super features with the excellent craftsmanship and technology of Ibanez we have one of the best electric guitars of all times. It looks good and sounds better. It is comfortable and easy to handle even during the lengthiest playing sessions.

Features

• The best feature of the guitar is the super flat and thin prestige wizard neck. Add the 24 jumbo frets to the neck and we have a guitar that is easier to play and handle than most.
• This is one of the few guitars from Ibanez which have the edge pro-tremolo system.
• The DiMarzio pickups are an excellent addition and provide the much needed cutting sound which is often missing in today’s electric guitars.
• The extremely light and durable basswood body which is seen in the RG series makes and appearance in the RG2550E as well. The sound character of basswood is perfect and right in the middle of mahogany and alder.
• The fingerboard is once again made of the longest grain rosewood.
• Unlike some of the earlier models which had a shark tooth inlay, this one has a pearl dot inlay.
• The hardware is completely made of chrome and hence is highly durable.

My Personal Review

Features: 8
Well, it doesn’t seem like a guitar that was built in outer space and that is probably one of the best features of it. It is pretty solid and will give you hours of trouble free optimum performance. I doubt if there is going to be a longer lasting guitar for a long time.

Sound: 9
For guitarists looking to play rock or metal, this one is a boon. But others can also fiddle around with the amp to get the right sounds out of this baby.

Quality: 9
The best guitar that money can buy. You get what you pay for. Maybe you get more than what you pay for. The quality of the components is simply superb. This one is built to last and last really long at that.

Once you look at this guitar and hold it in your hand, you wouldn’t think twice about buying this one.

This guitar is simply a great guitar for beginning, intermediate and even advanced guitars. The price is even better as it can compete with much more expensive guitars.
